Installation Options
Lite Clip Strips offer installation flexibility depending on the surface and application. We strongly recommend testing a small 5–10 foot section before completing a full install.
- Adhesive Installation: Ideal for metal flashing, smooth trim, railings, and other non-porous surfaces. Compatible adhesives include E-6000® and Goop®. Apply nickel-sized adhesive spots approximately every 6 inches and at strip ends.
- 3M Double-Sided Foam Tape: Best suited for interior or clean non-porous surfaces. Not recommended for porous materials like brick or concrete.
- Staples: Excellent for wood fascia and similar surfaces. Use galvanized, stainless, or weather-resistant flat crown staples every 6 inches, alternating sides.
- Screws / Self-Drilling Screws: Useful for more permanent installations where additional holding strength is needed.
- Pop Rivets: Suitable for certain metal applications requiring secure permanent attachment.
- Nails / Tacks: Can be used where appropriate with corrosion-resistant fasteners for outdoor use.
Taped Lite Clip Strip bases are intended for clean, non-porous surfaces only. Adhesion performance will be reduced on dirty, textured, peeling, or porous surfaces. Vertical or curved applications may require temporary tape support while adhesive cures.
